It is a privilege to be able to give back to the community around Gosport and Southern Indiana. Every year Cornerstone Roofing works with the local community to give back where help is needed. This last summer of 2018, Cornerstone Roofing was able to give away a brand new roof with a 50 year warranty to Pat Pinkard.
Cornerstone requested nominations for outstanding individuals in the community who needed a new roof, but did not have the financial capabilities to pay for one. Pat had 30 different nominations from people who knew her and thought she would benefit from this kind gesture. Her friends described her as a great volunteer of her local church who helps regularly at a local nursing home. She has been selflessly giving to people for many years, and now we get to give back to her. As a single senior she struggles, but you will never hear her complain about life. She was dealing with a leaking roof over her head until her friends stepped in and nominated her for a new roof.
The house Pat lives in is 150 years old, and the roof was not well taken care of. Most of the shingles were rotted away from sun and water damage over the years. 4 layers of shingles were removed from the roof, along with many pieces of bad wood that needed to be replaced. The job was finished in December 2018 by a team happy to help someone who has helped so many others over the years.
Now Pat will not have to worry about leaks for many years to come. She is covered for 50 years with a great product donated to her. Special thanks to Pat’s friends for bringing this issue to the attention of Cornerstone Roofing.
